Renowned chef Failatu Abdul-Razak has voiced her disappointment after popular Ghanaian musicians Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, and others failed to attend her Guinness World Record attempt for the longest cooking marathon in Tamale.

Despite Shatta Wale hinting at his visit on Facebook, he and other musicians did not show up during the 10-day event, leaving Chef Faila and fans disappointed.

Speaking on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, Chef Faila expressed her unhappiness, stating, “Not a single big musician showed up for North on this project. They owe us an apology.”

While Kwabena Kwabena did attend, Chef Faila emphasized the absence of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Samini, whom she had hoped would support her project.

She conveyed a willingness to forgive the musicians if they apologized, humorously adding, “They need to proceed to the Ya Na with a cow each before we can accept the apology.”

Despite the disappointment, other showbiz personalities like SDKDele, Kwaku Manu, Yaw Dabo, Nana Donkor Arthur, and Sweet Adjeley were present at the event.

Chef Faila successfully completed the Guinness World Record attempt, cooking for 227 hours, 00 minutes, and 02 seconds, surpassing Uganda’s chef Dorcus Mirembe. Guinness World Records awaits validation.

In response to her accomplishment, GWR expressed interest in reviewing video evidence, while Chef Faila revealed that GWR directed her to break Irish Chef Alan Fisher’s record of 119 hours and 57 minutes.

This event followed media personality Afua Asantewaa’s 5-day longest singing marathon, attracting various celebrities. Chef Faila’s disappointment highlights the absence of support from musicians in contrast to Afua’s well-attended singing marathon.
