Everyone involved across Spanish football, from LaLiga to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Spanish government, is working hard to bring football back to Spain, with the return date of June 12 set as the proposal.
Within these scenarios and schedules, Monday night football is not being considered and the topic is still up for debate, though the measure taken earlier this season to ban football fixtures from taking place on a Monday in LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank remains in place.
In the conversations which have taken place, the idea has been spoken about as a possibility but it has not progressed.
Both Luis Rubiales, president of the RFEF, and Irene Lozano from the government were surprised by the proposal, given that it had not been previously considered, and it looks likely that if football returns, it will do so from Tuesday to Sunday.
On Monday teams will be able to train in groups of 10, following guidance sent to clubs by LaLiga president Javier Tebas .
