Yesterday Ghana was hit with good news as the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey announced that it has chosen Ghana to be it’s headquarters in Africa.
Following the announcement by Jack Dorsey in a tweet explaining why they chose Ghana, he tweeted, “in line with [its] growth strategy… to truly serve the public conversation, we must be more immersed in the rich and vibrant communities that drive the conversations taking place every day across the African continent.”
President Akufo-Addo upon sighting on the news could not hide his excitement, he retweeted, “The choice of Ghana as HQ for Twitter’s Africa operations is EXCELLENT news. Gov’t and Ghanaians welcome very much this announcement and the confidence reposed in our country.”
However, Nigerians on twitter feel their country deserved to be chosen instead of Ghana.
They took to twitter to disagree with Ghana being selected as Twitter’s hub in Africa.

Another Big L for Nigeria who despite having the biggest active social media users, we got over looked for Ghana. This is obviously because of the anti-business policies of APC and Buhari. Shameful

Our anger isn't bcos its Ghana it's the failing system in Nigeria, that's our problem. Nobody would even consider Nigeria at this point in time
