The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) has released Kwaku Ohene Djan, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), after days in detention over his alleged role in the ongoing NSA financial scandal.
Mr. Djan was detained as part of an investigation into alleged financial mismanagement and misconduct at the NSA. Sources suggest his detention was linked to efforts to uncover irregularities that have raised public concern in recent months.
The probe, which has implicated several high-profile individuals, focuses on allegations of fraud, financial misappropriation, and systemic lapses that have resulted in significant financial losses.
Following his release on Monday, February 24, the NIB clarified that Mr. Djan remains a person of interest and may be recalled for further questioning.
His legal team has assured that he is fully prepared to cooperate with investigators to ensure due process is followed.
