Her passing unfolded on a Monday evening, with the comforting presence of close-knit loved ones by her side, offering solace in her final moments.

In recent years, Zoleka garnered widespread acclaim for her remarkable transparency in sharing her tumultuous journey battling cancer, while bravely addressing her past struggles with drug addiction, the shadow of depression, and the haunting memory of childhood sexual abuse. Her commitment to advocacy extended beyond her own battles; she became a fervent advocate for enhanced road safety, a cause that stirred her heart following the heart-wrenching loss of her 13-year-old daughter in a devastating car accident back in 2010.

In the cruel twist of fate, the preceding year witnessed Zoleka’s revelation that cancer had insidiously infiltrated her liver and lungs, casting its ominous pall over other vital organs. While she valiantly braved outpatient treatment, destiny led her to the hospital doors a little over a week ago. In a poignant Instagram post, she unveiled the daunting medical landscape she navigated, which included the added challenges of blood clots and the unwelcome presence of lung fibrosis.
