The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region is currently in a meeting to address threats of electoral violence allegedly made by one of its members. Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan, the Party’s Constituency Organizer for Manhyia South, has been declared wanted by the Ashanti Region Police Command for his provocative remarks.
A video circulating online shows Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan vehemently challenging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and threatening violence if they attempt to manipulate the elections. He even suggests the possibility of resorting to fatal measures to ensure the victory of the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
According to reports, the leadership of the NDC in the Ashanti Region is cooperating with the Crime Office of the Central Command and intends to present Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan on Tuesday for further investigation.
