The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and John Mahama have declared three-days fasting and prayers ahead of Election. This spiritual exercise is to make sure there is peace during and after the election.
This was made known in an official press release by the NDC party. The Fasting and Prayer begins from today,5th November, and ends on the 6th of the same month, but will hold a thanksgiving service at The Royal House Chapel owned by Arc. Bishop Duncan Williams

This spiritual exercise is under the theme; “THE HORSE IS PREPARED FOR THE DAY OF BATTLE, BUT VICTORY IS IN THE HANDS OF THE LORD”- Proverbs 21:31.
One reason for the announcement of this exercise by the NDC is to seek God’s divine intervention to halt the recent spate of armed robbery, killings, and other violent crimes that we are happening in the country.

They also noted in their statement, “the NDC recognizes that it is God Almighty who chooses good leaders for nations; hence the party shall be fasting and praying for a resounding victory for our Flag-bearer and Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming elections.”
