The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has announced the immediate suspension of the Central Management System (CMS) used by the National Service Authority (NSA) for personnel postings, following a directive from the Office of the President.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Ministry described the suspension as a “decisive step taken in the national interest” to allow for a comprehensive technical and forensic review of the platform. This decision follows rising concerns and allegations of irregularities in the CMS’s operation.
The CMS is a digital infrastructure designed to streamline the management of postings and verification processes for national service personnel. However, recent criticisms and reported inconsistencies have prompted a closer examination of the system.
“The Ministry wishes to assure the general public, especially National Service Personnel and stakeholders, that measures are being put in place to ensure that the operations of the Authority are not disrupted,” the statement emphasized.
Officials added that alternative systems and verification protocols are currently under review to maintain transparency and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
The Ministry has called for calm and cooperation from all national service personnel and the public as investigations proceed. Further updates are expected in the coming days.
