National Security Minister Halts ‘Fixing The Country Movement’ Demonstration at Mahama’s Residence

The Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, has intervened to prevent the planned demonstration by the ‘Fixing The Country Movement’ targeting Former President John Dramani Mahama’s residence, citing significant security concerns.

Ernest Owusu-Bempah, Convener of the movement, disclosed in a statement that, due to formal directives from the Ministry of National Security, the anticipated demonstration and picketing at the Cantonments office of ex-President John Mahama, scheduled for Thursday, November 23, has been called off.

The decision to halt the demonstration stemmed from perceived security considerations conveyed by the National Security, prompting the indefinite suspension of the protest. Owusu-Bempah extended apologies to their widespread supporters for the abrupt cancellation and assured them of the movement’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a swift and comprehensive investigation into the controversial Air Bus bribery saga.
