Nanumba South: Family Demands Justice After 25-Year-Old Found Dead in Bush

The family of 25-year-old Inusah Gariba at Lugni in the Nanumba South District of the Northern Region is calling on President John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector-General of Police to ensure justice following his death.

Gariba is alleged to have been killed by individuals within the community over a land dispute. His body was later discovered in a bush in a decomposing state.

According to his father, Danboka Gariba, the deceased was attacked and killed in the bush. He further alleged that the family has since been receiving threats from persons believed to be linked to the incident.

Speaking on February 25, Mr. Gariba appealed for swift intervention and protection for his family as investigations continue.

Police officers, accompanied by a medical doctor, visited the scene where an autopsy was conducted before the body was released to the family for burial. Authorities say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
