Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to vote for the NDC’s John Mahama in the December 7 elections. She made this appeal during the party’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on December 5, 2024.

According to Professor Opoku-Agyemang, John Mahama’s leadership qualities—his experience, respectfulness, and dependability—make him the ideal candidate to steer Ghana toward the progress citizens desire.

Highlighting the NDC’s commitment to education, she assured voters that a Mahama-led government would improve the Free Senior High School (SHS) program, which she criticized as being poorly managed under the current administration.

“The Free SHS policy is being poorly implemented; Mahama will make it better,” she stated, emphasizing the NDC’s resolve to enhance access to quality education.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang also criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for economic mismanagement, citing the denial of retirees’ access to their hard-earned investments as a pressing example of failed leadership.

She urged Ghanaians to vote decisively for the NDC, framing the election as an opportunity to achieve the vision of a better Ghana.
