Mr. Drew Faces Lawsuit for Failure to Perform After Receiving Partial Payment

Ghanaian singer Mr. Drew is facing legal action for allegedly failing to perform at Jamrok Bar and Events Centre despite receiving partial payment of GHS 15,000.

The event organizers, Jamrok Bar and Event Center, have filed a lawsuit against Mr. Drew and his DJ, DJ Filter, at the District Court in Senchi, Asuogyaman District, seeking the recovery of the payment made to Mr. Drew for an event on Easter Monday which he failed to honor.

In addition to the GHS 15,000, the organizers are also seeking reimbursement for the total expenses incurred in organizing the event, amounting to GHS 36,511.

They are further claiming damages of GHS 200,000, stating that Mr. Drew’s failure to perform has tarnished their image.

This is not the first time Mr. Drew has been accused of taking money from event organizers and failing to show up.

According to reports, the organizers at Senchi have received calls from at least four other event organizers who claim to have faced similar situations with Mr. Drew and are willing to testify against him in court.
