MP Frank Annor Dompreh Convicted for Contempt, Fined GH₵7,200

Frank Annor Dompreh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyire Constituency in the Eastern Region, has been convicted for contempt by the High Court in Accra.

Justice Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, presiding over the case, convicted Mr. Annor Dompreh after he previously pleaded guilty to the offense.

The Court emphasized that, as a prominent member of society, Mr. Annor Dompreh should have known better but opted to spare him a custodial sentence.

On Tuesday, July 23, Justice Adjin-Doku sentenced him to a fine of 600 penalty units, equivalent to GH₵7,200.
