Mohammed Kudus Receives Additional Two-Game Ban After Tottenham Red Card

West Ham and Black Stars winger Mohammed Kudus has been handed an additional two-game suspension following his red card in last month’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham in the English Premier League. Kudus was sent off in the 82nd minute after a confrontation with Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven, who alleged that Kudus “punched him in the face.” Pape Matar Sarr was also reportedly shoved by Kudus during the altercation.

Initially, referee Andy Madley issued Kudus a yellow card, but this was upgraded to a red for violent conduct after a VAR review, resulting in an automatic three-match suspension. Following a further investigation, the Football Association (FA) charged Kudus with additional violent conduct, resulting in an extra two-game ban.

Having already missed matches against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, Kudus will also sit out West Ham’s upcoming fixtures against Newcastle on November 25 and Arsenal on November 30.
