Medeama No.1 goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has no qualms with Black Stars coach CK Akonnor for ignoring him in his last call-up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.

Antwi, a former youth international, has been one of the top performers in the Ghana Premier League for the leaders.

But Akonnor opted for Hearts of Oak’s gloves man Richard Attah.

”I wasn’t disappointed when CK Akonnor didn’t call me to the Black Stars but the truth of the matter is we got a local goalkeeper in the squad,” Nimde3 95.1fm

The former Amidaus and Asante Kotoko star also shared his thought of the resumption of the country’s top-flight.

”Truncation of the league depends on the authorities. If they calls us to play, why not ? . We are ready,” he added.

He also kicked against a pay-cut for home-based players because it will impoverish them.

”It was proposed by the foreigners to negotiate with the players to slash their salaries amid this virus. I will not accept pay cut because, what the foreign players received as salaries you can’t compare to that of Ghana.”
