Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah recently expressed deep sorrow on Instagram over the untimely death of Nollywood actor Junior Pope.
Pope tragically drowned while filming a movie on the River Niger just two days ago, along with three other crew members.
In response to this tragic event, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken action by indefinitely suspending all film productions involving riverine areas and boat rides.
This decision, announced by AGN National President Emeka Rollas, includes declaring Thursday, April 11, as a “No Shoot Day” for all Nollywood filmmakers.
This measure aims to prevent similar accidents and ensure the safety of all those involved in the industry.
