May 1 Declared Public Holiday

The Interior Ministry has officially declared Thursday, May 1, 2025, as a statutory public holiday in honour of May Day, also known as Workers’ Day.

The announcement, made in a statement signed by Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, urges the public to observe the holiday in line with national regulations.

“This marks a day of recognition for workers across the country and should be observed nationwide,” the statement emphasized.
