Former Black Stars and Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien received massive love on his birthday yesterday.
Michael Essien celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday, December 3, 2020.
Ghanaians joined his former clubs; Chelsea, Real Madrid, and the English Premier League to celebrate him.
The 38-year old midfielder earned the nickname “Bulldozer,” because of his impressive and his control in the midfielder during his prime.
Essien helped the club win the Premier League in 2006 and 2010, as well as three FA Cups and one League Cup.
He won the UEFA Champions League in 2012, while also placing as runner up in the 2008 UEFA Champions League at Chelsea.
He netted 17 gaols in 168 appearance for the Blues before moving to Real Madrid in 2012.
He is now a player and part of the coaching staff of Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjælland.
He also capped 58 times for the Ghana national team and scored nine goals.
