Renowned footballer Mario Balotelli narrowly escaped serious injury after being involved in a car accident near Orzinuovi, Brescia – his hometown in Italy. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 pm, as reported by Italian newspaper Fatto Quotidiano.
Balotelli, 33, reportedly lost control of his Audi Q8, which is valued at around £100,000. Despite the severity of the crash, the striker emerged unscathed and managed to exit the vehicle without any significant injuries. Paramedics quickly attended to him to assess his condition, confirming his fortunate escape.
Local authorities, responding to the accident, requested Balotelli to undergo a breathalyzer test, standard procedure in such incidents. However, the footballer declined to take the test, resulting in the police requesting his driver’s license.
Currently signed with Turkish side Adana Demirspor on a one-year deal, Balotelli has made an impressive start, scoring three goals in his initial five matches for the team.
