Appiah-Kuhi Baidoo, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and three-time parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Akontombra, has formally resigned from the party, citing years of unresolved complaints about maltreatment toward himself and his family.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Constituency Chairman and copied to regional and national party leaders, Baidoo expressed disappointment that his repeated appeals to the NPP’s national leadership had gone unanswered.
The former District Chief Executive stated that his decision came after enduring prolonged mistreatment, though the letter did not specify the nature of these grievances.
“I unreservedly apologise to the thousands of supporters and sympathisers who have been with me through thick and thin over the last two decades,”.
He thanked the party for the opportunity to serve as both District Chief Executive and parliamentary candidate but maintained that his complaints had been consistently ignored.
