A private legal practitioner, Samson Lardy Anyenini, has stated that Citi FM/TV‘s journalist Caleb Kudah did not deserve the kind of treatment he got from the National Security Operatives.
According to him, Caleb committed no crime by filming at the car park of the National Security Ministry, which is reportedly a security zone.
In a report filed by CitiNews ,Lardy Anyenini said if journalists will take their cameras, or pens and capture what is being misused or wasted, they are not committing any crime but are simply doing what they have to do.
“If you are a journalist or not, and there is something going on in the public place, you are entitled to capture and reflect the same thing to the rest of us,” he argued.
Caleb Kudah was arrested on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, but later released in the evening after hours of interrogation and questioning.
Lardy Anyenini stated that the action the national security operatives took against Kudah by torturing him while under interrogation is “unlawful.”
