Kudus and Iñaki Williams Score for Clubs After Disappointing AFCON Qualifiers

Following a difficult international break for the Black Stars, Mohammed Kudus and Iñaki Williams have bounced back impressively for their respective clubs, West Ham United and Athletic Bilbao.

Iñaki Williams stole the spotlight by scoring twice within two minutes for Athletic Bilbao in their La Liga match against Espanyol. His brace came just 30 minutes into the game, highlighting his sharp return to form after a disappointing stint with Ghana during the AFCON qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Kudus also found the back of the net for West Ham in their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur. His goal was one of the bright spots after a challenging international break.

Both players struggled to make an impact during Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers, where the Black Stars failed to win any of their four matches, registering two draws and two losses. Ghana only managed to score one goal, a deflected shot by Alidu Seidu against Niger.

The lack of goals from the likes of Kudus and Williams during the qualifiers has led to growing concerns about the team’s leadership and coaching.

Despite their club performances, these showings raise the question: is the issue with the players, or is it the leadership under Coach Otto Addo?

Many now believe that the talent is there, but the Black Stars are not being led effectively on the international stage.
