New-York Based Ghanaian Immigration Lawyer Kofi Amankwaa Sentenced to 15 Years for Massive Green Card Scam

New-York based Ghanaian immigration lawyer, Kofi Amankwaa, is now at the center of a legal storm, facing up to 15 years in jail for orchestrating a fraudulent scheme that preyed upon thousands of innocent immigrants. Operating alongside his son, Kofi Amankwaa Jnr., and associates Sylvester Boateng, Betty Smith, and Nana Adoma Kontoh, Amankwaa’s actions have been described by New-York lawmaker Catalina Cruz, Esq., as nothing short of defrauding the government and shattering the American dream for numerous families.

The elaborate scam promised hopeful immigrants a pathway to obtaining a coveted green card, a symbol of permanent residency in the United States. However, the reality for many who sought Amankwaa’s services turned out to be a nightmare, as a significant number found themselves facing deportation instead of realizing their American dream.

The extent of the damage caused by this scheme is yet to be fully realized, as investigations continue to unfold.
