Keli Gadzekpo, the Board Chair of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons. His resignation, effective immediately, was confirmed by sources within the ECG on Tuesday evening, March 26, 2024.
Gadzekpo, appointed to the ECG Board in 2017 by then Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, played a pivotal role in ensuring energy sufficiency. An accomplished entrepreneur, he has been instrumental in the growth of several companies, including the Databank Group of Companies, comprising Databank Asset Management Services and Databank Epack Investment Fund Ltd. With over two decades of experience in investment banking, Gadzekpo currently serves as the Board Chairman for Enterprise Group.
Additionally, he chairs the Databank Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Databank Group. Gadzekpo is an alumnus of Achimota School and holds a BSc in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the USA and a Mason Fellow of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he obtained a master’s degree in Public Administration.
