Justina Nelson Appointed Acting CEO of Minerals Income and Investment Fund

President John Dramani Mahama has named Ms. Justina Nelson as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF) after revoking the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng on Tuesday morning.

The revocation was detailed in a letter dated January 13, 2025, signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, and took effect immediately.

Ms. Justina Nelson, a seasoned banker with over two decades of experience, is currently a Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana), where she oversees the energy and commercial banking sectors.

She holds:

  • A Master of Law degree in Corporate and Commercial Law.
  • A Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Ghana.
  • A Bachelor of Law degree from GIMPA.
  • A degree in Management and Psychology from the University of Ghana.

In a statement issued on January 14, 2025, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Acting Spokesperson to the President, highlighted Ms. Nelson’s expertise and leadership credentials as critical to ensuring continuity and progress at MIIF.
