 John Peter Amewu to Recontest Hohoe Seat Unopposed 

John Peter Amewu, the current Member of Parliament (MP) representing Hohoe in the Volta Region, is poised to collect nomination forms for his reelection bid on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The incumbent MP, vying for a second term in Parliament, will run unopposed, mirroring the scenario from 2019 when he was acclaimed as the candidate for the 2020 general election.

Samuel A. Azasu, the Hohoe Constituency Communications Director of the NPP, informed the Ghana News Agency that Amewu’s aspiration for another term has garnered substantial backing from NPP supporters and well-wishers in the constituency.

He emphasized the resounding conviction among them that there is no other contender capable of securing the seat in 2024 apart from Amewu.

“We stand in unity, fully rallying behind him due to his remarkable contributions in the constituency. Undoubtedly, we have extended an invitation for him to lead us once more, as his commendable efforts deserve such recognition.”

The renewed bid of John Peter Amewu to retain the Hohoe seat has received unanimous endorsement from the NPP faithful, with their unequivocal support stemming from his commendable track record within the constituency.
