John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former president of Ghana, has pledged to repair the Wa-Bamboi-Techiman road when he returns to power. He made this commitment during a courtesy call to the chief of Wichaew in the Wa West constituency of the Upper West Region.
Mahama described the Wa-Techiman road as being in a terrible condition, labeling it “the worst” he has seen in the Fourth Republic. He also noted that the poor state of the road has led to numerous accidents over the years.
In addition to the Wa-Techiman road, Mahama promised to repair the Tumu road, highlighting his commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.
This pledge comes as part of his campaign efforts to address infrastructure deficits, especially in rural areas that have suffered from neglect over time.
