John Mahama Pledges Affordable Healthcare and Free Sanitary Pads in NDC Agenda

National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has outlined plans to prioritize affordable healthcare if elected in the upcoming December elections. Addressing the public in Bodom, Nkoranza North, after commissioning a maternity and children’s ward alongside his wife, Lordina Mahama, he highlighted rising healthcare costs and inadequate infrastructure as urgent issues needing reform.

Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to free primary healthcare, stressing that accessible healthcare should be available for all, particularly underserved communities. He noted that while healthcare facilities exist, the financial barriers prevent many Ghanaians from accessing necessary care. He emphasized that his administration would focus on improving healthcare infrastructure and broadening access to essential services.
