President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced his intention to dedicate himself to full-time farming after retiring from politics.
During a recent visit to his farms in Yapei and Busunu, Mahama expressed his deep passion for agriculture, describing farming as his lifelong calling. He emphasized that his connection to farming remains strong and that he plans to return to his agricultural roots once his political career concludes.
“Farming is my life. I love it. I am sure if I didn’t go into politics, I would be a full-time farmer. In any case, when I retire after this stint, of course, I am going to go into full-time farming,” Mahama shared.
He added humorously, “If you want to see me, you will have to come here on the farm.”
Mahama’s commitment highlights the importance of agriculture in his life and his vision to focus on it post-politics.
