John Dramani Mahama Nominates Diana Ayamga as Bongo District Chief Executive

John Dramani Mahama has nominated Diana Asokatrie Ayamga as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Bongo District.

The nomination, made in line with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, is subject to approval by members of the Bongo District Assembly.

In a statement issued on April 7, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, led by Minister Ahmed Ibrahim, indicated that the appointment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and accelerate development at the district level.

If approved, Diana Ayamga will be responsible for overseeing administrative functions and coordinating development initiatives within the district.

The nomination is one of several expected appointments aimed at enhancing effective decentralisation and improving service delivery across Ghana’s local government structures.
