‎Inter Milan booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a thrilling 4–3 extra-time victory over Barcelona, sealing a dramatic 7–6 aggregate win in a semifinal clash for the ages.

‎The Italian side, buoyed by late heroics from Francesco Acerbi and substitute Davide Frattesi, overcame the brink of elimination to secure their spot in the final in Munich, where they will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal.

‎Inter dominated the first half, racing to a two-goal lead through Lautaro Martinez’s 21st-minute strike and a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty just before halftime. However, Barcelona responded strongly after the break, with quick goals from Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo leveling the match.

‎Despite a series of brilliant saves from Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer, Barcelona thought they had sealed the win when Raphinha netted in the 87th minute. But 37-year-old Acerbi dramatically equalized deep into stoppage time, sending the match to extra time with his first-ever European goal.

‎In the 99th minute, Marcus Thuram’s run set up Frattesi, who curled home the winner to complete Inter’s sensational comeback. Sommer later denied Lamine Yamal twice to preserve the lead.

‎“I screamed so much that I nearly fainted,” Frattesi said. “I wasn’t even well before the game, but thanks to the physiotherapists, I could play. This is unbelievable.”

‎The win marks Inter’s return to the Champions League final for the first time since 2023, as they aim for their fourth European title. Meanwhile, Barcelona’s hopes of a treble end, with their focus now shifting to LaLiga, where they face arch-rivals Real Madrid this weekend.
