Inaki Williams and Abdul Mumin Nominated for Top La Liga Awards

Black Stars duo Inaki Williams and Abdul Mumin have been nominated for prestigious La Liga awards for their performances in August 2024.

Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams is in the running for the La Liga Player of the Month award. He faces tough competition from Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, and Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. Williams earned the nomination after an impressive month, scoring one goal and providing four assists in three matches for Bilbao. His strong club performances followed his participation in Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Rayo Vallecano defender Abdul Mumin has been nominated for the La Liga Goal of the Month award. Mumin scored a stunning goal from the left side in his team’s 3-1 victory over Osasuna, marking his first goal of the 2024-2025 season. The strike, which sailed into the top corner, has earned him widespread praise. Former Barcelona player Sandro is also nominated for his goal against Athletic Bilbao.
