I Voted for Kennedy Agyapong Because Bawumia’s GH¢400.00 is an Insult to us – Delegate

In the midst of the highly anticipated NPP presidential primaries, a wave of controversy has emerged as delegates express their dissatisfaction with the gifts being offered to them. One delegate, who introduced himself as Sir Collins, has raised concerns over the amounts provided by the two leading contenders, Vice President Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong.

Sir Collins has alleged that the vice president’s team is offering delegates GHc400, which he describes as insulting. He pointed out that Kennedy Agyapong, who stands as the opposing candidate, is giving delegates GHc300. In Sir Collins’ view, the difference in the gift amount reflects negatively on the vice president’s campaign.

What makes this issue even more contentious, according to Sir Collins, is that the vice president is backed by prominent figures and ministers within the party, whereas Kennedy Agyapong is perceived as a solitary supporter. Despite this, Agyapong’s ability to offer GHc300 to delegates has swayed Sir Collins and others to cast their votes in his favor.

As the NPP presidential primaries continue, this revelation has added an unexpected twist to the race between Vice President Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong, both vying for the opportunity to lead the party in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The allegations made by Sir Collins and the discontent among delegates are sure to be closely monitored as the primaries progress, potentially impacting the final outcome and the unity of the party.
