“Safo Newman’s Management Should Work on His Appearance” – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has voiced disappointment regarding the management and handlers of emerging artiste, Safo Newman, for their apparent lack of investment in his appearance. In a video clip, Shatta Wale expressed his belief that Safo Newman’s team should prioritize building his image and appearance before aggressively promoting his music.

“They say there’s this new guy, Safo Newman, and I expect his management or those who discovered him to be sensible to take responsibility for his branding before sending him out there,” Shatta Wale stated, noting that the current approach seems to involve merely outfitting him with a hat and arranging interviews.

Safo Newman rose to prominence last year with his debut track, “Akokoa,” receiving acclaim and recognition from top artists like Sarkodie. Despite his musical talent, some critics and fans have expressed dissatisfaction with his appearance, suggesting it lacks the necessary “showbiz touch.”

Notably, since his rise to fame, Safo Newman has been consistently seen wearing a beanie, a style choice that has become synonymous with his public image. In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Safo Newman revealed that the beanie serves as a symbol of gratitude to a benefactor whose unwavering support has been crucial in his musical journey.
