The Chief Executive Officer of the Obuasi-based club, Mr. Emmanuel Frimpong has denied having any contact with officials from Kotoko on Latif Anabila.
Earlier last week, it was heavily reported that Asante Kotoko SC has agreed a fee of US$15,000 for AshantiGold SC midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila.
However, the club CEO in an interview with Fox FM said, ” I have not had any contact with officials from Kotoko on Latif Anabila. Dr. Kwaku Frimpong (Champion) had a verbal agreement with Kotoko but that is way back even before COVID-19…..”
“As at now, nobody has come to me or Dr. Kwaku Frimpong on Anabila. Our doors are opened and Kotoko is a family so if they are to come now, no problem with that. We can agree on something……”
“By the way, we are also discussing with him (Anabila) on a contract renewal with us,” he added.
Anabila has spent two years at the Len Clay stadium after joining the Elephants in 2018 winter and has impressed for the side.
