Award-winning Ghanaian film director and producer, Kofi Asamoah and dancehall artist, Shatta Wale almost fought on radio during a discussion on the state of the music industry.
Kofi Asamoah had apparently disagreed on a recent Instagram post shared by the Taking Over hitmaker lamenting on the state of the Ghana music industry.
The writer and film director’s disagreement with Shatta erupted into a heated exchange of words during the Entertainment Review on Accra-based Peace FM.
According to Kofi Asamoah who’s popularly known as Kofas, Ghanaian actors and musicians can’t promote the Ghanaian culture by shooting poor videos.
He further explained, they need money to shoot quality videos so that they can present something nice to the world.
Kofas stressed that local things are not cheap e and so in trying to promote the Ghanaian culture, they must shoot quality videos.
At this point Shatta Wale also disagreed with Kofas, as the argument got heated. Both celebrities exchanged some words as they both tried to shut the other down and his point.
In Shatta’s opinion he claims many people in the industry don’t like and so whatever he says they would always find something fault about without critically examining his statements.
