Hassan Ayariga, founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), has expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the December 7, 2024, general elections. Ayariga, speaking on the “Point Blank” segment of Eyewitness News on Citi FM, highlighted the increasing desire for a third political force in Ghana, which he believes will propel him to victory.
He urged Ghanaians to be brave and vote for him, challenging the notion that only candidates from the major parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), can win.
Ayariga drew attention to past elections, questioning the certainty of voting outcomes and encouraging voters to believe in his candidacy: “You voted for John Dramani Mahama in 2016 and he didn’t win, and you voted for him in 2020 and he didn’t win, so how sure are you that he will in 2024?”
He further stated that if he does not win the 2024 elections, nobody will, suggesting the possibility of a second-round poll in which he could emerge victorious.
