GWCL To Cut Water Supply To Parts Of Accra From Monday; Check Affected Areas

Management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that there will be an interruption in water supply to some parts of the Greater Accra Region from Monday, September 13, to Friday, September 17.

According to a press statement, the affected areas in the western part of the capital include Weija, Gbawe, Mallam, Sakaman, Kasoa, Odorkor, Dansoman, Mamprobi, Agege, Korle-bu, Korle Gonor and etc…….

The shortage is expected to last for five days to enable “engineers to replace nine hundred (900mm) which impedes water flow and causes serious challenges in the distribution lines.”

This challenge, according to GWCL, is causing the company to lose several volumes of water daily and consequently having a serious impact on the volumes available for consumption.
