Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced the government’s plan to completely eliminate the Double-Track system in Senior High Schools by 2027.
Speaking at a recent engagement with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) in Sunyani, the Minister revealed that the phase-out will be accompanied by significant reforms, including updates to the national curriculum and a restructuring of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
According to him, these changes are part of a broader effort to enhance the quality of education across the country and provide a better learning experience for students.
