‎The Government of Ghana has cleared 31 days’ worth of arrears owed to caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the first term of the 2024/2025 academic year.

‎This payment was made through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), according to a statement released by the GSFP Secretariat and signed by its National Coordinator, Hajia Fati Forgor.

‎The Secretariat expressed gratitude to the Government for the timely disbursement of funds and emphasized that efforts are underway to restructure the programme. These reforms aim to decentralize the GSFP, enhance the quality of meals provided to pupils, and ensure more consistent payment to caterers.
