The Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has launched the government’s performance tracker, a tool designed to enhance transparency and accountability in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
This initiative aims to address concerns regarding the accuracy and reliability of project presentations, particularly the use of artist’s impressions to depict project outcomes.
The performance tracker will serve as a reliable mechanism for showcasing the progress and impact of infrastructure projects, thereby fostering trust and confidence among citizens.
Oppong Nkrumah emphasized that the platform will be updated daily, urging citizens to visit the website and download the app to stay informed.
“We want to encourage you to take time and navigate and be informed. We are responsible for the information we consume… don’t consume half-truths on other platforms,” Oppong Nkrumah stated.
He highlighted that the database provides facts about projects in all 261 districts, urging citizens to verify information before sharing it.
The platform will be continuously updated, providing real-time information on infrastructure projects across the country.
A feedback window will also be opened to receive input from citizens, ensuring that the tracker remains accurate and responsive to the needs of the public.
