An Electoral Commission (EC) official in Kintampo South, Bono East Region, has been arrested for alleged electoral offences during the ongoing 2024 general elections.

The suspect, Dery Joseph, is accused of issuing approximately 15 ballot papers to voters that omitted the first presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The incident occurred at the Ampesika Bayiri polling station and has prompted investigations by the police. A statement from law enforcement confirms the arrest and ongoing probe.
