The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said his worse score on the Transparent Index is better than president Akufo-Addo.
In an exclusive interview with Serwaa Amihere on GH OneTV, the former president said the media has given President Akufo-Addo a free ticket on issues of corruption.

According to him, he feels the media has been biased on their reportage on allegations of corruption under this current government compared to his tenure in office.
He further noted the fear of any media personality losing his or her job if he or she exposes the government have caused the media to be silent.
“I think that Ghanaians are used to corruption under Akufo-Addo and so nothing is shocking anymore. When I was president, any allegation of corruption was like earth shaking.
“It’s obvious that this president is swimming in corruption, what else can I say, because it is not only that there is corruption, there will be corruption,” the NDC presidential candidate said.

Mr Mahama said a president is not responsible for the moral upbringing of everyone you appoint but you must work with diverse range of people.
He therefore noted that when come corruption occurs the president must leave the anti-corruption agents to do their work without any interference.
