Ghanaian Duo Afronita and Abigail Secure Third Place at 2024 Britain’s Got Talent

Ghanaian dance pair Afronita and Abigail clinched third place after an intense finale at the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent competition.

Throughout the competition, the duo captivated global audiences with their impressive dance routines and compelling story, proudly representing Ghana and Africa on an international stage.

During the final performance on Sunday, June 2, they delivered a breathtaking routine adorned in vibrant Ghanaian colors, placing them among the top three out of ten finalists.

Although they finished third, it remains a remarkable accomplishment for the African contestants on such a prestigious platform.

The talented young Ghanaians garnered substantial support from Ghanaians both domestically and abroad.

The ten finalists included a diverse array of acts such as a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group.

Ultimately, Sydnie Christmas claimed the top prize, followed by Jack Rhodes in second place, with dancers Abigail and Afronita securing third.

Judges Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden returned for the season finale, joined by hosts Ant and Dec.

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent’s 17th series was awarded a £250,000 cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

Public voting was open during the live show, encouraging viewers at home to participate.

Singer Sydnie Christmas was overcome with emotion upon being announced as the winner of the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent show.
