Ghana to Reinstate Visa-on-Arrival for Travelers During Festive Season

In preparation for the upcoming Christmas season, the Ghanaian government has announced the suspension of the mandatory requirement for pre-arrival visa acquisition for travelers. Instead, visitors will now have the convenience of obtaining their visas upon arrival in Ghana.

Set to commence from December 1, 2023, until January 15, 2024, this initiative aligns with the government’s broader agenda known as “Beyond the Return.”

A statement issued by the Ministry of Transport has been circulated to all airlines operating within the country, urging them to update their systems accordingly to accommodate this new arrangement.
