‘Ghana Post Address is a Fraud’- Sammy Gyamfi

Sammy Gyamfi has said the ruling National Patriotic Party introduced the Ghana Digital Post Address to deceive Ghanaians.

The lawyer and politician made this claim during a panel discussion on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV.

According to him, the Ghana Post Address generates multiple address and they are false.

In 2017, President Nana Akufo-Addo launched the Ghana Post GPS – which was designed by Ghanaian information technology firm, Vokacom.

It provides every Ghanaian with an effective means of addressing every location and place in the country, using an information technology application.

According to the National Communications Director for the NDC, the Ghana Post GPS is not functioning yet the Veep, Dr. Bawumia said it was more advanced than the United Kingdom address system.

He said, “If you tell me that you have procured a digital system at a cost of GHc9.9million and is the best address system in the world, more advanced than the digital address system of the United Kingdom, you’re a liar and you’ve no credibility.”

He further noted that he wouldn’t be surprised to find out the QR code payment system are also false.

Sammy Gyamfi concluded that the NPP come no close to NDC when it comes to digitization systems in terms of records.

Few days ago, some government officials and Dr. Bawumia officially launched a Universal Quick Response (QR) Code.

The purpose of the QR code is to receive easy payment from bank accounts, MasterCards, E-zwich, etc instantly.
