Ghana Police Refute Claims of Manhunt for Malik Basintale

The Ghana Police Service has dismissed rumors circulating on social media that Malik Basintale, the National Deputy Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been declared wanted by the police.

In a statement, the police emphasized that the claim is entirely false and urged the public to disregard it.

The misinformation reportedly arose following Basintale’s recent social media posts, in which he referred to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, as a “pork eater,” in response to remarks calling NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, a “drunkard.”

The police advised the public to treat such false claims with the contempt they deserve.
