The Ghana Police Service has apprehended a suspect in connection with the shooting incident that resulted in the death of a soldier at Millenium City, Kasoa, in the Central Region.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, Benlord Ababio, allegedly shot the soldier on Tuesday, 30th April 2024, around 4:20 pm. The victim sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Kasoa for medical attention. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead by medical authorities.
Benlord Ababio is currently in police custody, cooperating with investigations. The Police Service is liaising with the Ghana Armed Forces as the investigation progresses.
