The Ministry of Roads and Highways, through the Ghana Highway Authority, has announced the closure of parts of the Takoradi-Agona road for major repair works on the approaches to the Butre River Bridge at Ewusiejoe near Takoradi.
The repair works will necessitate the closure of the Ewusiejoe section of the Takoradi-Agona Highway from midnight on Friday, February 23, to Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 4 A.M.
Motorists traveling between Takoradi and Agona Junction and beyond are advised to take note of the closure and make alternative travel arrangements during this period. Alternative routes have been provided by the Ghana Highway Authority to assist commuters and road users during the closure.
