Four Arrested for Stealing Agenda 111 Building Materials at Awutu Bereku

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended four individuals for allegedly stealing materials designated for the construction of an Agenda 111 Hospital at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.

The arrests occurred on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, following a collaborative effort between the police and community members.

A statement from the police revealed that a Man Diesel truck with registration number GT 8715-Z was intercepted. The truck, driven by one of the suspects, Kwabena Ayamba, was loaded with assorted building materials.

Investigations indicate that the suspects were allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport the materials to Tema.

The four suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with further investigations. Authorities are also working to apprehend the contractor involved to ensure justice is served.
